REGIONAL GRADING COMPETITIONSunday
23 March saw Richard’s Trampoline Club at the Eastern Regional Grading
competition in Brentwood. Despite
being Easter Sunday and it was snowing, this didn’t deter 5 dedicated
performers from attending today. Being
a graded competition means if the qualification score is achieved, then
this permits the trampolinist to progress onto the next grade.
At
Grade 3 Bradley Sapsford competed for his second time at this level.
He’s struggled slightly with the higher difficulty level, but
handled it well today showing good improvement especially for when it
matters. He narrowly missed
out on the gold medal to finish in 2nd place. At
Grade 4 Becky Hales showed tremendous improvement, she completed two
superb routines showing much improved confidence.
This has definitely been her best competition to date.
She maintained the lead all the way through the competition and
finished 1st by quite a large margin.
Scott Crowhurst did very well competing for the first time at
Grade 4, and with using a new, higher difficulty level voluntary
routine. He handled the
transition well, showing great improvement recently although he still
needs to work on his form. He
finished in 5th place. Levi
Rimmer also did very well today, she’s been working on her form and it
showed in both her routines as her marks are steadily increasing.
She just needs to increase her difficulty level a bit more now.
The standard was very high in her group though and she did well
to finish in 6th place. At
Grade 5 Joseph Pridmore did some good routines; he’s starting to show
a lot more confidence now. A
small error in his voluntary routine though left him just outside the
medals in 4th place.
